BYU Education Week – Volunteers and Registration Assistance

Education Week will be held on the Brigham Young University campus August 16-20, 2021, with an anticipated attendance of 20,000. BYU is recruiting 600 dependable and courteous volunteers to fill hosting positions. In exchange for their 15 hours of service during the week, volunteers will receive a full-event pass for Education Week, entitling them to attend classes when they are not serving as hosts.

Duties as a host include greeting students, checking tickets, and taking attendance counts. Hosts serve one shift each day, Tuesday through Friday, and are free to attend classes while not serving. Shifts generally last for 3 hours and 45 minutes. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Additionally, a fund has been established to help a limited number of single parents attend for free. To qualify, a single parent must have one or more dependent children living in their home. The application for this assistance must be submitted by July 16, 2021.
