Brothers and Sisters,
The First Presidency has approved and the Utah Area Presidency has given guidelines for the return to Sunday church services for stakes and wards in Utah. We have counseled with the Stake Presidency and have determined to begin holding Sacrament Services as of July 12, 2020. (It is possible based on updated Covid-19 conditions which we are monitoring very closely, that the timing of our Sacrament Service could change, at which point we will notify you). The Silvercrest Ward will hold one service on the second Sunday of each month. Sacrament services will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last about 40 minutes. There will be no Sunday school, Elders’ Quorum, Relief Society, Primary, Young Women’s or Young Men’s meetings.
If you feel sick or have Covid-19 symptoms, please do not attend the services.
If you are over 65 or you have underlying health conditions, you are encouraged to continue receiving the Sacrament at home, but you may attend if you desire. Please do not feel compelled to attend if you are in that group. Those who feel uncomfortable attending for these or any other reason, please don’t feel obligated to come. Previously authorized priesthood holders may continue to administer the Sacrament in the home.
For those who choose to attend, please take note of the following:
- So we can make certain to comply with all state and local regulations regarding size of gatherings, we need to get a count of those who will attend. Please text or email a member of the bishopric to indicate if you plan on attending sacrament meeting on the July, 12.
- We have included with this letter guidelines that all who attend must follow to keep each other safe and have an enjoyable Sacrament service. Please read and become familiar with them before attending on July 12.
We are excited that we will be able to begin holding Sacrament meetings again. We love you and pray daily that you are keeping safe and healthy. Please feel free to contact any one of the Bishopric members with questions or concerns.
Love,
The Silvercrest Ward Bishopric
