More information has been released from our stake presidency and the bishopric. regarding the sacrament. Below is the text of their message.
To the members of the Sandy UT Canyon View Stake,
As a stake Presidency and as the bishoprics of the Sandy UT Canyon View Stake, we are deeply concerned for the welfare of the members of the stake during these concerning times. We plead for Heaven’s blessings to be with each individual and family.
We are aware of the desire of our members to regularly participate in the ordinance of the Sacrament. Following the direction of The First Presidency, in the coming weeks bishops will authorize administration of the Sacrament in the homes of members. Specific direction regarding the timing and process for doing so will be provided in the near future. Priesthood holders should not administer Sacrament in the homes of members without specific authorization from the Bishop or someone appointed by him to do so.
We know that Heaven is aware of each individual and their needs at this time and will answer the prayers of the people as they seek divine assistance and direction.
