Thanks to a Wonderful Silvercrest Ward
As I reflect on 2019, it comes to mind all the terrific service that our ward members have given to each other over the past year. Whether it is donating blood, food, a lifting back or placing a rake over a big pile of leaves, our ward has done amazing things. One of the great things about being the bishop is I get to see those many acts of kindness that go virtually unnoticed. The time that is spent by so many in the ward is certainly appreciated and we as a bishopric are grateful to each one of you.
As we look forward to celebrating Christmas at the end of this month, may we take time to remember the Christ child and his mission of hope, faith, goodness, repentance, joy, peace and resurrection. We give gifts to our loved ones to show our love for them, but just think of the gift our Heavenly Father has given to us (His Son) that we might have eternal life. I can think of no other thing that is more precious than to have the opportunity to live with our Father in Heaven, his Son Jesus Christ and all of our family and friends.
We are grateful for all the new things that the Prophet, twelve and other church leaders have given to us to assist us in these latter days. The guidance and inspiration is from above and we believe great things will happen to all who listen to the “Prophets voice and hear the word on God” It is beyond my comprehension how awesome these new changes and directions are for us. We are excited to put them in place and see the great results that will follow. There seems to be spirit of newness and renewal that is coming over the ward and we are anxious to have everyone feel a part of it.
Please be safe during this holiday season and look for ways to continue to build and love your families, neighbors and friends. Know that we are praying for you night and day and that our best wishes are for you always. We love you and ask that our Heaven Father will bless you with all the blessing of Heaven.
Love
Silvercrest Bishopric
