Memorial Day is a great holiday to celebrate your family’s history! Here are some possible ideas to make your Memorial Day more meaningful.
- Find an ancestor’s grave using Find a Grave or Billion Graves website and visit it
- Take a photo of a headstone and add it to FamilySearch Memories
- If you are visiting relatives, ask them to tell you about your ancestors, then add these Stories to FS Memories
- Find military records about your family—you can learn a lot about a man from his draft registration card!
- Write down your feelings about your parents and/or grandparents and share them with your family
