SUMMARY:Red Spur Campground
DESCRIPTION:With Spring’s arrival and the prospect of warmer temperatures\, it isn’t very long until our Summer camps with our youth are upon us. Our stake has received the work assignment for the Red Spur Recreation property. We will be needing assistance from members of our ward to fulfill the various tasks that we have been assigned. \nThe camp is in need of maintenance after the limited use of the property over the past couple of years due to Covid. Additionally\, the recent water system improvement project has led to the roads and trails having become overgrown with Aspen shoots along with the wood chips and logs having been removed as well. \nIn an attempt to complete everything that needs to be done we are soliciting assistance from both the Elders Quorum and Relief Society\, as well as our Young Men and Women for this year’s  project. It is hoped that with the increased numbers involved in the work day\, we will be able to get these much-needed improvements completed.  The other stakes who utilize the property will be involved in other projects as well on this day. \nThe date for the assignment is Saturday\, June 11\, 2022. Helpers need to be at the property no later than 8:30 a.m. It will take approximately 2.5 hours to get to the Red Spur property. It is recommended that volunteers determine their departure time and place and then carpool together. \n8-10 individuals including men\, women and youth are needed and more would be welcome. This assignment will go most of the day and the work will be tiring and physically demanding. Families are invited to go up the night before and camp overnight if they wish. Please contact your organization leadership for more information. \n
